One dead, three injured after rollover crash in the Town of Holland

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office is investigating a rollover crash that killed and 18-year-old woman and injured three others early Saturday, January 23rd.Authorities have identified the woman as Morgan Knapp from Oostburg.Officials say the wreck happened around 2:20 a.m. at Risseeuw Rd.

Two dead in wrong-way, head-on collision that shut down I-43 SB near Oostburg

SHEBOYGAN -- Two people were killed in a head-on crash that shut down I-43 SB near Oostburg on Wednesday evening, January 20th.Around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sheboygan County Sheriff's officials received a call regarding a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-43, south of Oostburg.As deputies were en route, they learned a head-on crash had occurred near Mile Marker 113.The drivers of both of the vehicles involved were killed.Sheriff's officials say a Pontiac, driven by an 85-year-old man, was headed the wrong way on I-43 prior to the crash.The other vehicle, a Honda, was being driven by a 35-year-old man.Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in this incident.

Gas station canopy collapses in Cascade in Sheboygan County during winter storm

CASCADE -- Sheboygan County Sheriff's officials on Monday, December 28th were called out to a gas station after that gas station's canopy collapsed -- the second canopy collapse to occur in southeastern Wisconsin on Monday.It happened at Marshall's Gas & Goods on Madison Avenue near County Road NN in Cascade.We're told a deputy in the area noticed that the canopy had fallen over, but saw somebody from the business dealing with the issue.No one was hurt.There was no damage at the gas station -- other than to the canopy.It is believed that either wind or snow toppled the canopy.

Sheboygan police: 19-year-old woman will be OK after she was hit by a vehicle

SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police say a 19-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon, November 24th.It happened on Lakeshore Drive near Mead Avenue shortly before 3:30 p.m.The woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution.She was expected to be OK.Police say this crash happened when the woman walked into the street.No citations were issued -- although police did give the pedestrian a warning.

SHEBOYGAN --  Sheboygan County District Attorney Joe DeCecco needs help identifying a person who is currently in custody.DeCecco says the man, who was arrested on June 29th for retail theft from a local supermarket, will only identify himself by using celebrity names such as “Calvin Klein” or “Heath Ledger."The man is about 6’2” tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes,  and a short, full blonde beard.“While the charge is a misdemeanor property crime, without identifying the subject we run the risk of not knowing if he is wanted elsewhere for something much more serious.

Sheboygan Sheriff's deputies called out to Cleveland for plane crash; pilot uninjured

SHEBOYGAN -- A pilot has survived an emergency plane landing in eastern Wisconsin after his engine lost power.The Federal Aviation Administration notified the Sheboygan County sheriff's office just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday that a plane had crashed in southern Sheboygan County.Shortly afterward, the pilot, identified as a man from Cleveland, Wisconsin, called to say his Mooney airplane had lost engine power and he had to make an emergency landing in a farm field in the Town of Wilson.Deputies and emergency responders went to the scene.
