MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- On Tuesday, TSA Administrator John Pistole announced that small pocketknives and an array of sporting equipment -- which were banned from aircraft cabins in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks -- will be allowed in U.S. planes beginning April 25th.Groups representing Federal Air Marshals and flight attendants -- outraged over the Transportation Security Administration's decision to allow small pocketknives back into aircraft cabins -- say they will ask the TSA to reconsider the policy.Both groups say they learned about the policy change Tuesday, and charged that the TSA is forgetting about the terrorist attacks that led to the formation of the agency.FOX6 News spoke with passengers at Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee about this changes one day after they were announced.Passengers at Mitchell Airport agree getting through airport security can be tedious.

United Airlines delays flight for man to see dying mother

(CNN) -- If Kerry Drake missed his connecting flight, he wouldn't get to the hospital in time to say goodbye to his mother.Drake got the news on the morning of January 24 that his mother, who had been ill for years from rheumatoid arthritis and had been especially sick the last four months, was dying.To get to his mother in Lubbock, Texas, the San Francisco resident booked a United Airlines flight, with only 40 minutes between connecting flights in Houston.

Planes diverted from O'Hare to Mitchell Airport due to weather

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A spokesman with Mitchell International Airport told FOX6 News Tuesday afternoon, February 26th flights were diverted to Milwaukee's airport from Chicago's O'Hare Airport -- due to the weather.Airport spokesman Ryan McAdams said depending on the airline, the aircraft will wait in Milwaukee until conditions in Chicago improve, when they would then fly to Chicago -- or passengers will travel to Chicago via bus.Flight 2338 to O'Hare from Dallas was one of the flights grounded at Mitchell Airport Tuesday."This is why I don't fly through Chicago -- a little aggravated," one traveler told FOX6 News.Ironically, most on this flight were in the Lone Star state for a snowmobile expo."We prefer to have this weather outside in Quebec.

Priority Driving School in Milwaukee closes its doors
