WALWORTH/WAUKESHA COUNTIES (WITI) -- Beginning Friday, March 27th, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is scheduled to recommence work on I-43, from US 12 to WIS 83, in Walworth and Waukesha Counties.A single lane closure on I-43 (southbound) is scheduled to begin Friday.

New Berlin police officer taken to the hospital after squad SUV struck by another vehicle

NEW BERLIN (WITI) -- New Berlin police say an officer had to be taken to the hospital after that officer's squad SUV was struck by another vehicle on Thursday afternoon, March 19th.It happened around 12:30 p.m. near College Avenue and Sunnyslope Road.The officer was taken to the hospital, but it is believed that officer suffered only minor injuries.The other driver involved in this incident was not hurt.The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation.

Not guilty: Three charged in robbery, shooting that killed Waukesha gas station clerk make plea

ARRESTED: 50-year-old Delafield man jailed for his fifth OWI after traffic stop in Waukesha County

WAUKESHA COUNTY (WITI) -- The Wisconsin State Patrol on Saturday night, February 28th arrested a 50-year-old Delafield man for his fifth OWI.The man was arrested just before 11:00 p.m. after he was stopped for lane deviation and no tail lamps on State Highway 83 NB at U.S. 18 in Waukesha County.Upon making contact with the driver, the trooper detected an odor of intoxicants.
