WAUWATOSA (WITI) -- More than 5 million American's are living with Alzheimer's -- it's a disease that every 67 seconds someone develops.Folks in Southeastern Wisconsin are working to find a cure through the 20th annual Walk to End Alzheimer's -- and some local kids are stepping up to brighten the future of those effected.Ten little hands working together to make 3,500 flowers."It's really fun to work with your classmates and also people who you might not see every day.

Police: Bomb threat called into Kmart store on Mayfair Road

Motorcyclist killed when bike, pickup truck collide near 67th and North Avenue in Wauwatosa

Annual festival in Wauwatosa continues to grow

WAUWATOSA (WITI) -- Wauwatosa police say one person was injured in a rollover crash that occurred on Sunday evening, August 24th near 103rd and Burleigh.Police say it appears a woman lost control of her SUV -- which flipped as the woman over-corrected her steering and lost control.The woman suffered a minor injury to her arm, and she was transported to the hospital.Police say the woman was headed westbound on Burleigh, and the accident slowed traffic as crews worked the scene.Police say their investigation into this incident is ongoing.

Mayfair Collection opens to thousands of excited customers

Body of 57-year-old man discovered in wooded area in Wauwatosa

WAUWATOSA (WITI) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office says a "skeletonized body" has been discovered near Underwood Parkway and Bluemound in Wauwatosa.The body, said to be that of a 57-year-old man was discovered on Sunday, March 30th just after 4:00 p.m.According to the Medical Examiner's Office, the body was discovered by a father and son who had been hiking through the wooded area looking for deer antlers.

Wauwatosa police seek Subway armed robbery suspect

WAUWATOSA (WITI) -- Wauwatosa police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect responsible for the armed robbery of the Subway restaurant at 67th and North Ave.Police say the armed robbery occurred on Sunday, March 16th.Police say their initial investigation shows an unknown male approached the counter at about 6:30 p.m., displayed a handgun, demanded and obtained money, and fled the scene on foot.The suspect is described as 5'6" to 5'8" with brown hair and a goatee.

Wauwatosa Fire officials say alert neighbor noticed fire, called 911

WAUWATOSA (WITI) -- Wauwatosa Fire officials say an alert neighbor noticed smoke coming from a home on Palmetto Avenue on Monday morning, March 24th -- and called 911.Responding fire crews observed visible fire and smoke coming from the rear of the building.The fire was under control within about 30 minutes.Fire officials say the fire appears to have started due to smoking materials discarded into an outside trash bin, which quickly extended into the attic.The home is said to have suffered moderate damage.Fire crews were able to rescue the family cat from the home's basement.
