Semi suffers damage after hitting railroad bridge on Swan Boulevard in Wauwatosa

WAUWATOSA (WITI) -- Wauwatosa police say a semi struck the railroad bridge on Swan Boulevard near Menomonee River Parkway on Friday, March 20th.

The bridge is marked "no trucks" and "low bridge," but despite this, police say incidents like this occur two times a year or so.

Friday's incident caused fairly significant property damage to the semi. We're told it was some sort of a refrigerated truck, but it is unclear what it was hauling.

There was no damage to the bridge. Police say it was inspected by the railroad company.

No one was injured.
