Milwaukee police officer charged with sexual assault, disorderly conduct

A Milwaukee Police Department officer has been criminally charged after prosecutors say he sexually assaulted a woman outside a bar in South Milwaukee.

The Details:

On Oct. 5, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office criminally charged Officer Nathan Enk with one count of 4th degree sexual assault and one count of disorderly conduct. 

If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 for the first charge, and up to 90 days in prison and a $1,000 fine for the second, respectively.

According to the criminal complaint, on Sept. 21, around 2:08 a.m. police were dispatched to a bar near 13th Avenue and Milwaukee Avenue in South Milwaukee for a report of a problematic, intoxicated person.

Per the complaint, Nathan Enk repeatedly tried to kiss and groped a woman outside the bar and repeatedly told the victim, "Just kiss me, and then I’ll leave you alone" and "let me touch your breasts."

According to the complaint, during the interview and booking process, Enk declared: "I did not grope her; I slapped her [expletive]."

Officer Enk, who has more than seven years of service with the MPD, has been on full suspension since Sept. 21, 2026.
