Vehicle drops debris on I-94 near County Highway E, leading to flat tires

KENOSHA COUNTY -- The left lane of I-94 eastbound at County Highway E in Kenosha was closed on Thursday evening, January 25th after a vehicle dropped some sort of metallic debris on the eastbound lanes around 7:45 p.m.Kenosha County Sheriff's officials say "several" vehicles were damaged.Traffic was backed up on I-94 after some vehicles suffered punctured tires.No crashes have been reported.Tow trucks were dispatched to the scene to assist with getting the vehicles with flat tires off the roadway.Two lanes were shut down on I-94 eastbound at one point -- but one lane was reopened.

Man accused of manufacturing/delivering meth, fire started during execution of search warrant

PLEASANT PRAIRIE  -- Kenosha County Sheriff's officials say a 43-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday morning, February 23rd, and he is expected to face several charges related to the manufacture and delivery of meth and marijuana.Officials with the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department's "Drug Operations Group" executed a search warrant at the man's home on 104th Street in Pleasant Prairie around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.Kenosha officials received assistance from the DEA-MKE Clandestine Lab, a K-9 deputy, Pleasant Prairie police, and Pleasant Prairie fire officials.Around 12:15 p.m.the man left his home and drove away in his vehicle.He was stopped by a Pleasant Prairie police officer and a Kenosha County Sheriff's K-9 unit and taken into custody.The man was advised that a search warrant was being executed at his home due to several prior controlled purchases of meth and marijuana.The man was transported to the Kenosha County Jail.Around 12:30 p.m., officials with the DEA-MKE Clandestine Lab team entered the home.Due to the "volatile and potentially toxic nature of manufacturing meth," this team was the only law enforcement personnel allowed to enter the home.

Arson fire in Kenosha: Two men quickly arrested and charged

KENOSHA COUNTY -- Two Kenosha men are facing charges in connection with an arson fire that destroyed a barn and left a home with significant damage early on Thursday morning, February 18th.Firefighters were called out to the scene shortly before 5:00 a.m.The fire occurred at a home/barn in the 19400 block of 38th Street/County Highway N in Kenosha County.A passerby reported a large wooden barn fully engulfed in flames.An unoccupied home on the property was also determined to be on fire once firefighters arrived.The barn was a total loss.The house had significant damage to the basement and was determined to have been unoccupied for the past several years.Investigators learned these fires appeared to have been intentionally set.Two suspects were developed partially based on an item left at the scene of the fire.The suspects were arrested the following day -- on February 19th.21-year-old Damien Struble of Kenosha faces the following charges:

Man hospitalized after ingesting controlled substance, resisting arrest in Kenosha

KENOSHA -- A 52-year-old man was taken to the hospital after authorities believe he ingested a controlled substance and resisted arrest Friday evening, February 19th.The incident took place near 28th Avenue and 41st Street in Kenosha.According to the Kenosha Police Department, officers attempted to take the man into custody on an outstanding felony Department of Corrections warrant.

Kenosha police investigate death of five-month-old girl, fourth infant death in February

KENOSHA --  The Kenosha Police Department is investigating the death of a five-month-old girl.The Kenosha Fire Department responded to a home near 28th and Washington around 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17th.The infant could not be resuscitated and was pronounced dead at the scene.The incident remains under investigation and an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.Kenosha police say this is the fourth infant death this month.Police say a seven-month-old baby boy was found unresponsive by his mother in an apartment near 45th Street and 36th Avenue in Kenosha on February 2nd.

29-year-old Kenosha man arrested; accused of several armed robberies

KENOSHA -- Kenosha police have arrested a man that is believed to be responsible for several armed robberies that occurred in the Kenosha area throughout December, 2015 and January, 2016.According to police, a 29-year-old Kenosha man was taken into custody on Tuesday, January 19th after an armed robbery occurred in Mount Pleasant involving a suspect brandishing a knife.Kenosha has recently experienced a rash of robberies similar to the robbery in Mount Pleasant.Friday, the 29-year-old Kenosha man was charged with five counts of armed robbery and five counts of bail jumping.He is believed to be responsible for the following robberies in the City of Kenosha:

Steven Zelich pleads guilty to two charges in connection with death of Jenny Gamez
