Kenosha man charged in connection with 'accidental' shooting of his 15-year-old friend

KENOSHA -- A Kenosha man is facing charges in connection with the shooting of his friend -- an incident the suspect and victim said was accidental.Tre'shawn Moore-Thomas, 18, faces one count of injury by negligent use of a dangerous weapon.According to a criminal complaint, on March 7, police were dispatched to the area near 38th Avenue and 50th Street just before 6:15 a.m. for a shooting.The victim, a 15-year-old boy, suffered a single gunshot wound to his lower abdomen -- shattering his pelvic bone.

Officials identify woman who died after being struck by vehicle in Kenosha

KENOSHA -- A woman who died after being struck by a vehicle in Kenosha has been identified as 29-year-old Desiree Williams of Milwaukee.The incident happened on Monday evening, March 18 on WIS 158 near 120th Avenue.Police said Williams was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where she later died as a result of her injuries.

KENOSHA -- A crash involving a semi and a vehicle shut down all lanes of I-41/94 southbound at WIS 142 in Kenosha Wednesday night, March 6.Officials with the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department said the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.They asked drivers to please use alternate routes -- and suggested motorists exit the interstate before Highway KR, and re-enter the interstate at the Highway 142 entrance ramp.It happened around 8 p.m., and the scene was cleared shortly before 9 p.m.

6 hurt in 3 vehicle crash in Somers in Kenosha County

VILLAGE OF SOMERS -- Six people were hurt in a crash involving three vehicles in the Village of Somers Tuesday evening, March 5.It happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Highway L (18th Street) and Highway H (88th Avenue).The victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threatening.The crash involved a Chevrolet sedan headed west on Highway L, a Cadillac sedan headed north on Highway H and a Honda sedan headed south on Highway H.The cause of the crash was under investigation.

Sheriff's officials seek inmate who walked away from work assignment in Kenosha

Kenosha County officials seek answers after dog shot, killed in Town of Wheatland

KENOSHA COUNTY -- Kenosha County officials are asking for the public's help after a dog was shot and killed on private property in the Town of Wheatland.It happened on Wednesday, Feb. 20.According to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department, the dog was shot in the 8100 block of Highway O (368th Avenue) and died from its injuries.Officials are looking for any information on this incident.
