BROWN DEER -- Police are investigating a serious crash that happened at the intersection of Sherman and Teutonia in Brown Deer on Saturday morning, April 16th.The wreck, which involved a single car, happened just before 6 a.m.According to police, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man was operating the vehicle while traveling northbound on Sherman, lost control struck an electric pole.Officials tell FOX6 News there were five people in the vehicle -- all taken to a hospital.

BROWN DEER -- An officer-involved shooting occurred near 60th and Donna in Brown Deer on Monday, March 14th.It happened just before 5:00 p.m.Brown Deer police say two officers were conducting a traffic enforcement detail near 60th and Wabash when an MCTS bus driver advised of an unruly person on board the bus.As the officers attempted to remove the man from the bus, an altercation ensued.Both officers were injured, and the man was shot.

BROWN DEER -- North Shore Fire officials on Sunday night, November 22nd were called out to a house fire in Brown Deer.It happened at a home near 53rd and Willow around 7:30 p.m.Crews arriving on scene reported heavy smoke coming from a single family home.The three occupants of the home reported they smelled smoke and went to investigate.Upon entering their kitchen, they were met with heavy, black smoke coming up the stairs from the basement.Fire crews initiated an aggressive attack on what was determined to be a basement fire.All of the occupants of the home were able to get out prior to the arrival of fire officials.
