Racine lawmaker says residents tired of paying for Miller Park

RACINE COUNTY (WITI) -- Racine County, one of the counties in the Miller Park Stadium District wants out.The Miller Park Stadium District is comprised of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington and Waukesha Counties.The District has been charged with the oversight and monitoring of planning, financing, designing, constructing, commissioning, operating and maintaining Miller Park.The District is managed by an appointed Board of Directors comprised of thirteen individuals representing the five county area.Miller Park is Milwaukee's biggest party spot.

Brewers' baseball gear packed up for Spring Training

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Brewers announced Friday, January 24th plans for several new additions to Miller Park in 2014, including the arrival of AJ Bombers.The popular restaurant and bar – with locations in Milwaukee and Madison – will occupy the outside space formerly known as the Plaza Pavilion, along the west side of Miller Park near the right field gate.Additional new upgrades at Miller Park include an expansion of the Brewers Team Store by Majestic, a new Authentics Kiosk for game-used merchandise, the installation of approximately 150 flat screen televisions throughout the concourses, and more.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Thousands of people waited in line at Miller Park Saturday morning, November 9th, to get their hands on a copy of the annual We Energies Cookie Book.Masses have gathered for over 80 years to collect the free Cookie Book with dozens of holiday cookie recipes."I think it's just the camaraderie of Wisconsin, and We Energies produces an awesome book," said Hillary Taylor.Santa's reindeer joined the crowds who waited in the cold for their coveted book and complimentary cookies and cocoa.The Cookie Book giveaway lasts just four hours.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A competency exam has been ordered for a 54-year-old Mukwonago woman accused of vandalism at Miller Park.Milwaukee police say Jill McIntyre was arrested Sunday, September 1st after witnesses saw her defacing various statues and monuments with paint outside Miller Park.It happened around 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning, after callers provided the woman’s description and officers stopped her in the 200 block of N. 35th Street.McIntyre allegedly said she didn't like Bud Selig and others.

Brewers players visit parking lot during fan appreciation day

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Although the Milwaukee Brewers will end the season with a losing record, it was the fans who won during fan appreciation day on Saturday, September 21st.About an hour and a half before the start of the game, 25 carts full of Brewers players wound their way through the parking lot outside Miller Park, greeting fans and handing out gifts.
