U.S. government moves to ban 'fake pot'

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. government moved on Friday to essentially prohibit the sale or distribution of three synthetic forms of marijuana, also known as "fake pot."The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) issued a legal notice classifying the substances as Schedule 1 drugs.

Racine man, woman arrested after officials discover drugs in residence

RACINE (WITI) -- A 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested after Sheriff's officials executed a search warrant at their residence and discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia.The search warrant was executed Tuesday morning, February 12th in the 3300 block of 9th Avenue in Racine.Officials discovered more than 11 pounds of marijuana, 14.4 grams of cocaine, drug packaging and drug paraphernalia.Two handguns, an assault rifle and ammunition were also recovered from the residence.The street value of the marijuana is approximately $57,500.Investigators also seized a very large amount of name brand clothing items to include jeans, shirts, jackets, shoes and approximately 75 bottles of quality cologne, all brand new with store tags still attached, and $2,775 in US Currency.Officials say the investigation is ongoing.The man and women were taken to the Racine County Jail, with pending charges of:
