Severe weather chances SE Wisconsin: Wednesday breakdown

Severe storms will be possible Wednesday afternoon as a cold front moves through our area. Damaging winds and hail are the main concerns.

A warm front lifts across our area today warming us into the upper 60s but also bringing more instability. Rain and a slight chance for thunderstorms this morning but a better chance for thunderstorms this afternoon and evening as the cold front passes through. Behind that cold front we fall to the upper 40s and low 50s for the remainder of the week and low to mid 40s for the weekend.

A few showers or t-storms possible overnight. Chance for strong t-storms from 7-11am and again 2-7pm. Wind and hail are main threats, isolated afternoon tornadoes can't be ruled out.

Southeastern Wisconsin fire danger 'high,' DNR reports

The Wisconsin DNR is asking the public to stay vigilant and avoid burning because of potential fire danger across the state Tuesday, April 12.

Severe weather expected in Iowa, parts of Wisconsin Tuesday

The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted parts of Iowa with a “moderate risk” for severe weather, with parts of Wisconsin in a “slight risk.”

A high to our east retreats today and a strong low moves our way eventually bringing rain and thunderstorms. We start the day with some sun then more clouds roll in and eventually we will see rain and thunderstorms. Highs today will be in the low 60s but with a strong wind off the lake, we will be in the 50s lakeside.

A warm front moves our way and we warm from the low 60s Tuesday to the upper 60s Wednesday. Rain is likely by later Tuesday into Wednesday. There is a chance for thunderstorms mid-week.
