Sheboygan police arrest 3 teenage boys, accused of vandalism at Cargill Malt factory

SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police say three 13-year-old boys were arrested in connection with vandalism at the Cargill Malt factory near 15th and New Jersey Avenue in Sheboygan that took place during the overnight hours of Sunday night, November 20th into Monday morning, November 21st.The boys were arrested on Wednesday -- when police responded to the facility for a report of an alarm.

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- A Sheboygan man is criminally charged -- accused of breaking into a couple's home in the middle of the night, and stealing beer from their refrigerator.21-year-old Luis Flores of Sheboygan faces one count of burglary of a dwelling, boat or motor home for the alleged crime that happened on Tuesday, November 22nd.According to a criminal complaint, police were dispatched to a home on Cooper Avenue near 20th Street (near Cooper Elementary School) around 2:00 a.m. for a report of a burglary.Responding officers learned the suspect was being held at gunpoint in the kitchen.Flores was taken into custody.The complaint states a man living in the home had been dressing a deer in the garage -- entering and exiting through the back door of the home throughout most of the evening.

Construction worker hurt when he was struck by a vehicle in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police are investigating after a crash in a construction zone that happened Tuesday, November 8th.Police say officers, assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, responded to the crash at Calumet Drive near N. 26th Street.An investigation revealed a 78-year-old man was headed southbound when his vehicle went through several traffic cones and struck a 46-year-old construction worker for KS Energy.The construction worker was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.The investigation is ongoing.

SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police on Labor Day, Monday, September 5th closed South Pier as a result of a Beach Hazards Statement issued by the National Weather Service.The Beach Hazards Statement would remain in effect until 11:00 p.m. Monday for Ozaukee and Sheboygan counties.Officials put up barricades at South Pier, hoping to deter people from going out onto the pier.Sheboygan police advised swimmers at beaches to use extreme caution as there was a high risk of strong currents.

Sheboygan police ID 62-year-old woman killed in fire at Embers Apartments

SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police have identified a woman killed in a fire at the Embers Apartment complex that happened on Sunday, August 21st.The fire happened around 4:15 a.m. at the apartment complex located on South Business Drive near Carmen Avenue.The body of 62-year-old Deborah Marsh of Sheboygan was found by firefighters in one of the apartment units.The Sheboygan County medical examiner has determined Marsh died as a result of smoke and soot inhalation.The State Fire Marshal is investigating this fire.

14-year-old boy in critical condition after he was pulled from the water in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN -- Officials with the Sheboygan Fire Department say a 14-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after he was pulled form the water at General King Park on Sheboygan's south side Monday evening, July 11th.The call for this incident came in around 6:30 p.m. A caller indicated a swimmer hadn't surfaced near the beach.Sheboygan Fire officials and police were dispatched to the scene along with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s officials, the Sheboygan County Dive Team and the United States Coast Guard.Police spotted the boy in the water, approximately 40 yards from the shore, in approximately five feet of water, and removed him.

Three suspects in custody in connection with fatal stabbing in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police say officers caught one suspect and two others turned themselves into West Allis police in the wake of a fatal stabbing that occurred early Monday morning, July 11th.Police were called to the area of 12th Street and Clair Avenue shortly before 3:00 a.m. for reports of a stabbing.Sheboygan Fire EMS transported a 38-year-old man from the scene to Memorial Hospital -- where he died from his injuries.
