Grafton man accused of causing thousands of dollars worth of damage at Sheboygan restaurant

SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police said Sunday, July 15 an arrest has been made after a burglary that caused thousands of dollars worth of damage at Jake's Roundabout Steakhouse on Business Drive.It happened on Saturday, July 14.Jake's Roundabout Steakhouse officials shared surveillance photos of the suspect and pictures of the damage on social media.Police said the suspect, a 24-year-old Grafton man, entered the bar after hours.

Man arrested, suspected of clogging public toilets at Sheboygan community center

SHEBOYGAN -- Police have arrested a 33-year-old Sheboygan man they believe is responsible for numerous incidents of damage to property at the Deland Community Center.Officials say between April 2017 and March 2018, there were multiple reports involving a toilet being clogged with a plastic soda bottle.

Accidental death: 1-year-old in Sheboygan became tangled in window blinds, suffocated

SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police, in an update Wednesday, April 25, said the death of a 1-year-old boy has been ruled accidental.It happened near 27th and Center.According to police, on Tuesday afternoon, the child was napping in a portable crib when he was found to have climbed out of the crib and suffocated after he became tangled in the window blind cords on a window in the room he was in.The boy's caregiver said she cares for her own children and other children daily at a home that's not licensed as a day care.This investigation has been referred to the Sheboygan County Health and Human Services Department and the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, and it will be reviewed by the Sheboygan County District Attorney's Office.Police noted in a news release that the victim's family and caregiver have a relationship beyond the childcare services, and said this has been a traumatic experience.They also advised that window blinds in homes and businesses are dangerous for children, and police hope you may use this tragedy as an opportunity to safeguard your surroundings.

Police: Shots fired during armed robbery at apartment building in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN -- One person was taken to the hospital late Thursday night, April 5 following a shots fired incident that happened during an armed robbery in Sheboygan.According to police, shortly before 11 p.m. officers were dispatched to an apartment building near 8th and Niagara for a report of a disturbance.Responding officers were able to determine that the disturbance occurred in an apartment and hallway inside the building, and that a single gunshot was discharged during a confrontation between two suspects and one of the victims.No injuries resulted from the gunshot, and the victim was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and released.According to police, the investigation revealed that this was an apparent armed robbery targeting this specific apartment, and that there is no continuing threat to the community.
