SHOREWOOD -- North Shore Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched to an apartment building near the intersection of Oakland and Kensington in Shorewood on Thursday afternoon, September 22nd.Officials say when they arrived on the scene, they found a haze in the building.

BROWN DEER -- Officials with the North Shore Fire Department say one person had to be taken to the hospital from the scene of a crash on Brown Deer Road at Green Bay Road Wednesday, September 21st.Fire officials say a vehicle traveling westbound on Brown Deer Road turning south onto Green Bay Road failed to yield the right of way to a vehicle traveling eastbound.The eastbound vehicle then struck a dump truck as a result of the crash.The person who was taken to the hospital is believed to have suffered non-life threatening injuries.PHOTO GALLERY

Couple rescued by North Shore Fire after falling down bluff in Whitefish Bay
WHITEFISH BAY -- Officials with the North Shore Fire Department on Sunday, August 7th rescued a man and woman who fell down a bluff on Palisades Road -- near Lake Drive and Henry Clay in Whitefish Bay.It happened shortly before 3:00 p.m.The man and woman, in their early 80s, were walking near the bluff when they fell.The man was able to scramble back up the bluff on his own.The woman was rescued by North Shore firefighters.It is estimated they fell about 50 feet.Both were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.Monitor FOX6 News and FOX6Now.com for updates on this developing story.

BROWN DEER -- Police are investigating a serious crash that happened at the intersection of Sherman and Teutonia in Brown Deer on Saturday morning, April 16th.The wreck, which involved a single car, happened just before 6 a.m.According to police, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man was operating the vehicle while traveling northbound on Sherman, lost control struck an electric pole.Officials tell FOX6 News there were five people in the vehicle -- all taken to a hospital.
