TALLADEGA, Ala. — A small airplane made an emergency landing on an Alabama highway in front of shocked drivers.According to WXIA-TV , Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Rick Breitenfeldt says the flight originated from Talladega Municipal Airport and made the emergency landing nearby on Interstate 20 on Saturday afternoon.The FAA says the single-engine plane was carrying two people.

Girl named 'Abcde' mocked by Southwest gate agent; airline apologizes

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Southwest Airlines is apologizing after a gate agent apparently mocked a 5-year-old girl's name and posted a photo of her boarding pass on social media, according to KABC.The girl's mother claims the agent mocked the girl's name, Abcde Redford, and laughed at her while they were boarding the plane.The girl's name is pronounced "ab-city," according to KABC.Redford said someone saw the photo of Abcde's boarding pass on Facebook and brought it to her attention.Redford said contacted Southwest Airlines about the photo.

BROOKFIELD -- A crash involving a dump truck that rolled over slowed traffic for several hours on I-94 eastbound near Moorland Road in Brookfield on Tuesday, Nov. 27.It happened around 12:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-94.It's not clear what caused the crash.Two lanes were closed as crews removed the truck and cleaned up the spilled load.The scene was cleared by 2:30 p.m.
