MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A woman was arrested by officers from District 5 of the Milwaukee Police Department after she cut an officer with a razor.According to officials,  officers responded to the 4500 block of N. 27th Street  just before 1 a.m. on Thursday, July 24th for a complaint of shots fired.During the course of the investigation, a 26-year-old Milwaukee woman interfered with officers who were taking her boyfriend into custody.Police say the woman tried to jump on one of the officers and tried to push another officer.As the woman was being placed into the back seat of the squad car, she was clutching a large set of keys in her hands.The officer told her she couldn't have the keys in the squad car, at which time the woman struggled with the officer and cut him with a razor that was hidden between the keys.The officer suffered a laceration to his finger that required several stitches.The officer is 23-years-old with four years of service and is assigned to District Five.MPD will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney in the coming days.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating shots that were fired at the District 4 police station at about 1:45 a.m. on Monday, July 21st.According to police, an officer was seated in a squad car in the east parking lot when three shots were fired from the area of a parking lot in the 5500 block of N. 69th Street, striking the wall directly above and around the squad.The bullets damaged the brick, but thankfully they did not penetrate the building or strike the officer.Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect."It's pretty safe over here, like no trouble at all," Tristan Roberts said.Roberts lives in the area -- and says he takes comfort in being so close to a police station."It's supposed to be a lot safer," Roberts said.That feeling of safety was shaken early Monday morning when shots were fired at the station.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say the mother and father of a two-month-old baby boy have been arrested, after the baby was found dead in a home last week.Police say the baby boy was found dead in a home in the 2100 block of S. 5th Place on Thursday, July 17th.The next day, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office performed an autopsy on the baby, and it was determined the baby died as a result of abuse.Police have arrested the baby's father and mother.Police say their investigation into this incident is ongoing.
