BUSTED: Police arrest teens who attempted to carjack woman

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police arrested two teenagers suspected of attempting to rob a woman on the city's north side late on Tuesday, August 26th.

The victim, a 33-year-old Milwaukee woman, told officers she was in her vehicle and pulling out of her driveway on N. 54th St. around 11:30 p.m. when three men walked up to her. One of the men pointed a handgun at her and demanded her car.

The victim, fearing for her safety, accelerated out of the driveway and called police.

While interviewing the victim and other witnesses, the group noticed two people riding a bicycle that matched the description of the suspects. One of the suspects, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken into custody at the scene. Another suspect, a 17-year-old Milwaukee male, fled on foot but was taken into custody a short time later.

Police are still seeking a third suspect. The case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
