MILWAUKEE -- The National Science Foundation has awarded a $2.4 million grant to UW-Milwaukee and Milwaukee Public Schools.The money will be used to improve math and science programs in Milwaukee's public high schools.Twenty-five MPS teachers will be trained in personalized professional development and classroom-based research.Those teachers will then work with UWM faculty and MPS district leaders to analyze their classroom practices and lead development workshops for other teachers across the state.CLICK HERE for more on this story via the Milwaukee Business Journal.
