What is a snow squall?
Snow squall weather alerts were issued Friday, Feb. 18 – the first time the new warning was issued in southeastern Wisconsin.
MILWAUKEE - A wind advisory for all of southeastern Wisconsin takes effect Sunday at 9 a.m. with an expected expiration of 3 p.m.

While the advisory is in effect, sustained winds greater than 30 mph can be expected. Gusts up to 57 mph are possible.

Winnebago County: 14 ice rescues after snow squall
Between 6:30 p.m. Friday and 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Winnebago County and surrounding mutual aid public safety entities responded to 14 ice rescues on Lake Winnebago and Lake Poygan, including many events happening simultaneously.
