MPD: 2 killed in crash, 1 fatally shot in Friday night incidents
Three people were killed in a pair of unrelated incidents late Friday in Milwaukee. One man was found fatally shot in a vehicle. Two others were killed in a reckless driving crash in Riverwest.
MILWAUKEE - Two people were pronounced dead after a Friday night crash in Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood.
The crash happened near Booth and Burleigh just after 11:15 p.m.
MPD said officers spotted the vehicle driving recklessly at excessive speeds and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but a pursuit ended due to the excessive speeds. The driver lost control of the vehicle, police said, crashing into a tree.
The occupants -- a 22-year-old man and a 20-year-old man -- sustained fatal injuries.
The circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation.
