Milwaukee domestic violence murder-suicide

Two people are dead in what Milwaukee police called a domestic violence-related murder-suicide early Friday morning, Oct. 13.

Three separate Milwaukee shootings resulted in two people dead, including a suspect, and two others wounded Friday, Oct. 13.

52nd and Hadley

The first of Friday's shootings happened around 2:30 a.m. A 28-year-old woman, identified by the medical examiner as Kayla Arms, was shot and taken to a hospital where she later died. A 38-year-old man, identified as William Cooper, turned the gun on himself and died at the scene. Milwaukee police described the shooting as a domestic violence-related murder-suicide.

38th and Burleigh

A 20-year-old was shot around 5:40 a.m. Police said the victim got on a Milwaukee County Transit System bus for help and was ultimately taken to a hospital for treatment.

8th and Arthur

Shortly after 6:30 p.m., a 32-year-old was shot and taken to a hospital. Police said the victim had a non-fatal injury, and what led to the shooting is under investigation.
