MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee police are investigating two separate shootings that happened Monday, Sept. 11.
One person is dead, and another is wounded as a result of the shootings.
24th and Atkinson
Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Monday, Sept. 11, near 24th and Atkinson. It happened around midnight.
Police say the victim, a 21-year-old, arrived at the hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation, however, appears to be robbery related. No arrests have been made.
24th and Hampton
22-year-old Destiny Carter is dead following a shooting near 24th and Hampton in Milwaukee. It happened around 6 a.m. Carter had fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said a 31-year-old was taken into custody. Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
