Milwaukee gas station's license revoked
The Milwaukee Common Council revoked on Tuesday, Oct. 10 the license of the Clark gas station near Teutonia and Roosevelt. It comes two months after prosecutors say a man working as store security shot and killed Isaiah Allen over stolen snack cakes.
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Common Council revoked on Tuesday, Oct. 10 the license of the Clark gas station near Teutonia and Roosevelt. It comes two months after prosecutors say a man working as store security shot and killed Isaiah Allen over stolen snack cakes.
"It means we are one step closer to getting justice for my son, completely," said Natalie Easter Allen, Isaiah's mother.

Allen's mother and other family members were inside the council chambers when the vote happened.

"We have good days. We have bad days. We’re just trying to get through it and do what we need to do for our son," Easter Allen said.

Prosecutors charged William Pinking for killing Allen. Family members say Pinkin appeared to be working as security and shot Allen over stolen snack cakes. Court records show Pinkin was convicted of homicide in 1989. He has pleaded not guilty.

"Life should be worth more than a dessert," Easter Allen said.
The Allen family said the gas station has been problematic for some time. They have been protesting outside the doors ever since Isaiah died. Family has been fighting for this day.
"The community came and we made a cause. Everybody came through. Look at the verdict. 15. It’s gone," said Troy Allen, Isaiah's father.

"We had almost 5,000 signatures. It was amazing," Easter Allen said.
It is not fully clear what is next for the gas station. Allen's family is focusing its attention on the upcoming trial.

"It’s not over. It’s not over. It’s. Along journey but this is for Isaiah," Troy Allen said.
The owner of the gas station was not present during the common council’s unanimous vote.
