Milwaukee July 4th fireworks in parks postponed to Tuesday

With thunderstorms and significant rain expected this evening, the City of Milwaukee fireworks in parks on July 4 have been postponed and rescheduled for Tuesday, July 5, a release said.

The safety of spectators and fireworks staff is the most important factor in the decision.

This comes after various cities in the area postponed their fireworks displays for similar reasons. Waukesha's fireworks were canceled early Monday morning. The City of Wauwatosa made a similar decision to postpone.
