South side tactical situation lasts nearly 6 hours: police
MILWAUKEE - Police responded to a subject with a gun complaint near 12th and Walker around 9:20 p.m. Thursday, March 24. An individual was armed with a gun and threatened a shoot out with police.
A tactical setup was established, which warranted the response of the Tactical Enforcement Unit and Crisis Negotiators.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., the individual surrendered without further incident. The suspect, a 37-year-old Milwaukee man, was arrested. A firearm was recovered.
Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days.
