Officials identify suspects involved in causing damage to Wales Elementary School

WAUKESHA -- The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, with the help of the Kettle Moraine School District as well as several citizens in the area, have located the suspects involved in causing the damage to the Wales Elementary School.Officials say some time during the late hours of Wednesday, July 8th into the early morning hours of Thursday, July 9th, vandals broke into the school.

Police, MPD's Bomb Squad investigate suspicious object found in New Berlin's Lions Park

Waukesha police officer suffers injury to leg while trying to take wanted suspect into custody

WAUKESHA -- Waukesha police say an officer was injured on Monday, July 27th while trying to take a wanted suspect into custody.It happened in the 1700 block of Elder Street in Waukesha, and the initial call for this incident came in shortly before 4:00 p.m.Police say officers were sent to an address to try to take a wanted individual (a 22-year-old man) into custody.

Latest: Three taken into custody after report of armed home invasion in New Berlin

NEW BERLIN -- Three people were taken into custody on Thursday, July 23rd in connection with an incident that began with a report of an armed home invasion in New Berlin around noon.New Berlin police say officers responded to a subdivision near Sunnyslope Road and Beloit Road -- but the suspects and suspect vehicle were gone.Officers were alerted as to a description of the suspect vehicle -- and it was spotted and then stopped near S. 124th Street and Beloit Road.Three people were arrested for prowling.We're told they are not New Berlin residents.Police say the suspects did not have any weapons on them.

59-year-old Milwaukee man arrested, accused in armed robbery at Bank Mutual in Menomonee Falls

MENOMONEE FALLS -- A 59-year-old Milwaukee man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Thursday morning, July 16th at a Bank Mutual in Menomonee Falls.Menomonee Falls police responded to the bank, located on Water Tower Place in  Menomonee Falls around 8:21 a.m.An initial investigation revealed that a subject armed with a handgun confronted employees upon their arrival to work and demanded cash.

Guilty: One of two accused of stealing thousands from New Berlin Soccer Club reaches plea deal

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- A plea deal has been reached for 44-year-old Barbara Olson, accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the New Berlin Soccer Club.Olson has pleaded guilty to a felony charge of theft in a business setting, greater than $10,000.Investigators say more than $80,000 was pocketed by former leaders of the New Berlin Soccer Club — a division of the “Milwaukee Kickers.”44-year-old Melanie Gretzon is also charged in this case -- facing five counts of theft in a business setting, greater than $10,000.Gretzon has a plea/sentencing hearing scheduled for July 13th.Olson and Gretzon were charged in February 2014 — accused of taking the money intended to be spent on things like referees, soccer vendors and other game costs.
