New Berlin police: Four teens in custody after several recent criminal damage incidents

NEW BERLIN -- New Berlin police say four teens have been taken into custody in connection with a series of criminal damage incidents that have occurred in recent weeks.The teens were taken into custody early on Wednesday, December 23rd -- around 12:30 a.m.Police say the teens were taken into custody for criminal damage to property and other offenses following what police are calling "a fresh round of destruction" near Ohio Drive and Sandalwood Drive.Police were called out to that area regarding suspects who were causing damage to a lamp in a yard.The caller provided a description of the suspect vehicle -- and responding officers located the vehicle near 124th Street and National Avenue.The four teens were arrested during a traffic stop.If you live in this area of New Berlin and you have experienced recent damage, police are asking that you report it by calling the Waukesha County Communication Center at (262) 446-5070.New Berlin police said on December 17th they were stepping up patrols after a significant uptick in criminal damage incidents.Police said most of these incidents are occurring during the overnight hours, and indicated water bottles were being used to smash out vehicle windows and lamp post lights.

WALES -- Waukesha County Sheriff's officials say emergency responders were called out to Kettle Moraine High School Thursday evening, December 17th.We're told there was an unknown medical emergency involving a staff member at Kettle Moraine High School.Emergency responders were called to the school around 5:00 p.m. -- and the scene was secured.Sheriff's officials say the school is safe -- and that everything would continue at the high school as scheduled Thursday evening.No further details have been released on this incident.

Officials need help locating suspect after home invasion in Waukesha County

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Officials in Waukesha County are seeking a suspect in connection with a home invasion that occurred in the Town of Vernon in Waukesha County on Monday evening, December 7th.It happened around 5:30 p.m. at a home on Crestview Court.Waukesha County Sheriff's officials say the victim was able to run out of her home, and to a neighbor's home, where 911 was called.Deputies responded immediately, but were unable to locate a suspect.The home was searched and processed for evidence.The suspect is described as a white man, standing 5'6" to 5'8" tall with a slim build.

Woman taken to the hospital after two-vehicle crash on Barstow Street in Waukesha

WAUKESHA -- Waukesha police were on the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday evening, Novemer 25th.It happened around 7:15 p.m.Police say a woman headed northbound on Barstow Street crossed the center line and struck another vehicle headed southbound.The crash caused the woman's vehicle to roll onto its roof.The woman was was taken to a hospital, but we're told her injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.Police are looking into whether the woman was impaired at the time of the crash.Monitor FOX6 News and FOX6Now.com for updates on this developing story.

Officials release new details after crash involving three vehicles on Hwy. 16; two people killed

NASHTOAH -- Officials in Waukesha County have provided an update on a crash involving three vehicles that occurred on Highway 16 near Highway C on Sunday evening, November 8th.Officials say a Chevrolet Malibu was headed eastbound on Highway 16 when it left the roadway, crossed through the median into westbound traffic, and struck a Dodge Caravan head on.The Malibu continued into the ditch, and came to rest upside down.The Caravan came to rest in the westbound lanes of traffic, facing eastbound.A Chevrolet Blazer was headed westbound on Highway 16, and the driver apparently didn't see the Caravan which was disabled in traffic as a result of the prior collision.

Man taken to hospital for mental health evaluation after tactical situation in Town of Vernon

WAUKESHA -- Waukesha County sheriff's officials say a man was taken into protective custody following a tactical situation on Thursday, November 5th.This was occurring on Green Mountain Drive (in a subdivision off Oakdale Drive) in the Town of Vernon on Thursday afternoon.Sheriff's officials say they were alerted to the situation by a family member of the suicidal man.Officials talked with the man for a lengthy period of time -- and he eventually came out of the residence he was in, and cooperated with sheriff's officials.No one was hurt during this incident.This incident began around 1:30 p.m., and the scene was cleared by about 5:00 p.m.The 47-year-old man was taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.
