MILWAUKEE -- A 30-year-old woman was arrested for child abuse following a shooting near 49th and Hampton Sunday evening, July 21.According to officials, a physical altercation occurred between two groups of people around 5:40 p.m. During the incident, a 30-year-old woman battered a 13-year-old girl, police said.Shots were fired by an unknown individual, and the 30-year-old woman sustained a minor injury.The woman was transported to a hospital and subsequently arrested for child abuse.Police said the investigation was ongoing and the shooter was being sought.

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee man prosecutors said threatened to "air out" a polling place on Election Day in November 2018 reached a plea deal in the case against him on Thursday, July 18.Brandon Baker, 20, entered the plea to four of 10 charges filed against him: two counts of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of possession with intent to deliver THC, less than 200 grams, and one count of possession with intent to deliver psilocin, less than 100 grams.Sentencing was scheduled for Sept. 9.Baker in February was found competent to proceed in the case after he was ordered committed to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services in January.In the early hours of Nov. 6, 2018, police were called to 29th and Michigan for reports of multiple shots fired.Video from the scene showed Officer April Rivera began to speak with Baker."What is that in your hand sir?"
