Violent night: Seven wounded including a child in three separate shootings

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating multiple shootings that took place late Saturday, June 14th into Sunday.A shooting with four victims occurred near 28th and Center just after 1 a.m. on Sunday.The victims include a 21-year-old man, 24-year-old woman, 25-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man.All of the victims are being treated at a hospital and are in stable condition.The shooting occurred after an altercation at a house party.

Police: Two injured in separate shooting incidents Sunday evening

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police were on the scene of two separate shooting incidents that left two people injured on Sunday evening, June 15th.The first occurred just before 5:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of N. 4th Street.Police say a 32-year-old man was injured.He was taken to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.Police believe this shooting happened after an argument between the victim and the suspect.No one is in custody.The second shooting happened just before 7:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of N. 23rd Street.Police say a 26-year-old man is being treated at the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.The motive for this shooting is unknown.No one is in custody.

Autopsy conducted on 3-week-old infant found dead

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- An autopsy was conducted on a  3-week-old infant who was found unresponsive by her father on Thursday, June 13th -- and later died at the hospital.The police report says the infant was sleeping in a bed with both parents when the father noticed something wrong.

SENTENCED: 25 years behind bars for man involved in shootout with police after chase

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A man involved in a shootout with Milwaukee police after a high-speed chase was sentenced on Thursday, June 12th. 25-year-old Angelo Cruz will spend 25 years behind bars.Cruz pleaded no contest to two charges, and guilty to four charges.One charge was dismissed but read in.Cruz was convicted of the following charges:

MPD District 2 officers catch burglary suspect in the act

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Officers from District 2 of the Milwaukee Police Department arrested a burglary suspect after he was seen inside the house that he broke into.The officers responded to a home in the 2400 block of S. 18th Street at approximately 4:10 p.m. on June 6th after a neighbor noticed a subject break into a nearby home.Upon their arrival, officers saw two windows that were smashed open and the suspect exiting a window from the second story.The suspect jumped off the roof and was taken into custody.The suspect, 27-year-old Anthony Gbur of Milwaukee, is now facing a felony count of Burglary.If convicted, Gbur could be sentenced to more than 12 years in prison.
