80-year-old Green Bay Packers lover will finally experience Lambeau

WAUSAU (WITI) -- For more than 20 years she's watched every Packers game on television, but has never been to Lambeau Field to cheer on the green and gold.But Sunday, October 19th, 80-year-old Phyllis Barttelt is getting a chance to cheer on her favorite team in person for the first time.Phyllis has only watched games at home, or at bars, but has never been to Lambeau.Last summer, she was diagnosed with lung cancer.

Packers set to demolish Lambeau area properties

GREEN BAY (AP) — The Green Bay Packers will soon begin demolishing a former Kmart store and other buildings the team owns on property west of Lambeau Field.Building permits at the Village of Ashwaubenon show that next week work crews will begin tearing down the former Pomp's Tire store, a Hardee's restaurant and several buildings left on the former Big Lots property.

Packers buy up more property: Organization buys Mobil gas station near Lambeau for nearly $1.5 million

Marshfield man arrested, accused of promising Packers tickets and never delivering

MARSHFIELD (WITI) -- Marshfield police have arrested a 37-year-old Marshfield man in a Packers ticket scam.Police have been investigating several incidents involving alleged fraudulent sales of Green Bay Packers tickets -- and they have determined that the 37-year-old Marshfield man allegedly received more than $46,000 in payment from a total of 15 victims for game tickets that he promised, but never produced.This scam affected residents from communities across the state of Wisconsin -- including Auburndale, Chippewa Falls, Fond du Lac, Marshfield, Plover, Wausau and Wisconsin Rapids.Police say the 37-year-old Marshfield man has been cooperative during this investigation -- but police say the majority of the money he has received in this case can't be recovered because of extensive losses attributed to ongoing gambling issues.A request for charges against the Marshfield man has been referred to the Wood County District Attorney's Office.Related stories:
