Yacht stolen from Milwaukee boat yard turns up... in Racine County

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A 45-foot yacht that had been stolen from a Milwaukee boat yard last weekend has turned up in Racine County.

Officials tell FOX6 News a Racine County sheriff's deputy came across the abandoned yacht just after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. The process of getting the boat back to its rightful owner is now underway.

Police say the trailer holding the 45-foot yacht was hooked up to a pickup truck, and the pickup truck was then driven away from Jerry’s Dock along Water Street in Milwaukee on Saturday morning, May 9th. The yacht's owner is currently living in Florida. The yacht is named "Annie Mac" after the owner's late mother.



Officials say nobody is in custody in connection with this theft. If you think you have information about who took the yacht, you're urged to call police.
