Milwaukee Labor Day shootings; 1 dead, 2 wounded

Separate Milwaukee shootings left one person dead and two others wounded on Labor Day, Sept. 4.

Authorities are looking for the people responsible for each of the three shootings.

9th and Burleigh

A 40-year-old Milwaukee man was shot, wounded and went to a hospital for treatment. Police first learned of the shooting around 9:45 a.m. and said it appears to be the result of a fight.

37th and Lancaster

Shortly before noon, a 61-year-old Milwaukee man was shot and taken to a hospital for treatment. What led to the shooting is not yet known.

58th and Fairmount

An unidentified male was pronounced dead at the scene after he was shot around 5 p.m., police said.
