Man who works security shot, wounded near club in downtown Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred near Old World Third St. and Highland Ave. just after 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 4th.
The 44-year-old victim from Milwaukee works security at a nearby night club and confronted a group of males he had denied entry to in an alley just to the south of the club. Police say at one point, shots were fired striking the victim. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.
Officers who were nearby on foot patrol heard the shots and were able to arrest a 23-year-old man after a short foot pursuit. The officers recovered a pistol from the suspect. The weapon appeared to have been recently fired.
