Late night shoppers at the Mayfair mall on Black Friday

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Black Friday hype carried well into Friday evening for some shoppers.

When you think about Black Friday, the first thing that probably comes to mind is the people that camp out to make sure they're there when the stores open. FOX6 News stopped by Mayfair mall Friday evening and found several people that came out later in the day just to enjoy the hustle and bustle.

On Black Friday, before you can join the swarms of people shuffling from store to store, you have to maneuver the obstacle course that is the parking lot.

"You have to be careful in parking because it's a lot of people walking around, you got to be safe. People are walking in front of the cars but once you get the parking down and get inside, it's going fairly well," said William Crump, shopper.

The shoppers FOX6 News spoke with say once you're in, you're golden. And that's when the real Black Friday fun begins.

"We're not hardcore you know getting up at 4 in the morning and got to get the doorbuster. We're out here just to get in the bustle you know, grab some coffee, do some shopping, and hang out so we typically do it every year," said David Los, shopper.

Everyone FOX6 News spoke with actually showed up later in the day. Some say they do Black Friday sparingly -- others, say they do it every year.

"Trying to make it a tradition, this is my 3rd Black Friday and everything always goes pretty well. I come back with a lot of gifts," said Crump.

For those of you who maybe missed Black Friday, there is still Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.
