Increased patrols net 30 arrests for drunk driving in Milwaukee County

Increased patrols in the highways and roads of Milwaukee County netted 30 arrests for drunk driving. Those patrols began on Saturday, December 31st and included more than 90 law enforcement officers from multiple departments.

Of the OWI arrests was one for a 20-year-old person. Two of the OWI arrests for operating under the influence of drugs. And one was a repeat offender (third offense) who had a 10-year-old child in the car.

    The first OWI arrest happened at 8:56 p.m. on Saturday. The last took place at 7:49 a.m. Sunday. The highest preliminary blood alcohol level was .24 -- or three times the legal limit for a driver.
