Hunger Task Force hosts 2013 Letter Carrier Olympics

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Hunger Task Force hosted its fourth annual Letter Carrier Olympics on Friday, May 10th. The event serves as a reminder to the public to fill their donation bags with non-perishable food items and leave them next to their mailbox on Saturday, May 11th for the Stamp Out Hunger effort.

In the Letter Carrier Olympics, celebrities (including FOX6's Ted Perry) strapped on mail bags and made their way through an obstacle course consisting of bicycles, dogs, yard tools, heavy winds and more.

Like real letter carriers during Stamp Out Hunger, the celebs needed to collect food-filled donation bags while they delivered the mail and made their way toward the finish line.

Team 3 consisted of Ted Perry, Radar from the FM106 morning show, Miss Wisconsin Kate Gorman and a letter carrier. This team won the event!

Remember to be generous and fill those donation bags for the letter carriers to pick up on Saturday!
