GAB gets 30 day extension to process Walker recall signatures
MADISON -- The Government Accountability Board has been granted an extra 30 days to process Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch recall signatures
The GAB asked for at least 60 or more days to complete its official review. The GAB hopes it can finish scanning recall petitions for both Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Kleefisch, and turn them over to Walker's attorneys by January 27th.
Once the GAB finishes scanning the petitions, it must then verify the signatures for "correctness and completeness" before they are made available to the public.
Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Kleefisch will get 30 days to challenge recall signatures. Republican state senators are also being given a 20 day extension for challenging recall signatures.
