Common Ground celebrates fourth birthday
MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee organization "Common Ground" is celebrating its fourth birthday with some major announcements.
The group says it has gotten state approval to work on a new tutoring program with Milwaukee Public Schools.
"Common Ground is looking forward to making an announcement which will have a significant impact on out of school tutoring services provided for our Children," Rev. Carl Griffin of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church said.
Additionally, after working with five banks, Common Ground has secured $33 million for home rehabilitation projects in Milwaukee's Sherman Park neighborhood.
Common Ground is a broad-based, non-partisan organization working on important social issues.
