Responsibilities
Developing sources, breaking stories, and finding new ways to reach new audiences across platforms is what it’s all about. You must be able to demonstrate how you aggressively pursue relevant stories and develop exclusive content. You must also prioritize digital/social media content. Successful candidates will have strong LIVE reporting skills and the ability to communicate complex stories in creative, digestible ways. You must work cohesively with streaming, digital and linear producers, photojournalists, editors and news managers to ensure a unified and powerful storytelling approach across all platforms. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field with a minimum of 3 years’ reporting experience in a commercial television news operation. You must have a passion for storytelling and cometo our editorial meetings with great story ideas and a vision of how to deliver them on television, digital and streaming. You’ll need to exhibit strong on-air skills both in the field and in studio with the ability to ad-lib. Proficiency with newsroom computers and related software required. FOX6 is looking to hire a creative, visual storyteller who enjoys collaborating with Newsroom staff to get the latest news into the hands of viewers. Responsibilities
Not an office job! As a FOX6 Photojournalist, your days will be anything but monotonous. You’ll be in the field chasing breaking news and turning stories on a tight deadline. You’ll be tasked with covering local events or even going on your own to capture compelling weather video. You’ll flex your storytelling muscles with longform pieces that you are passionate about. We will provide the equipment so you can capture the best sequences, natural sounds and moments to produce compelling stories that our viewers need to know.
Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical School degree strongly preferred
- At least two years of Television News shooting experience, as well as technical knowledge of non-linear editing software, preferably Edius, and photo equipment
- Must be physically able to lift, carry and handle 30 to 50 pounds of camera gear, and deal with the realities of a Wisconsin winter or summer
- Position requires driving
- Drone license preferred

Responsibilities
You will be tasked with editing daily news and sports stories for live broadcasts, our station website and all current and future media platforms. You will brainstorm with producers, reporters and photographers to make the news pop on screen and provide impactful content to our audience across all platforms. We have high journalistic standards of fairness, and you must maintain that standard in every story you edit.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have experience using standard broadcast non-linear editing, preferably Edius. 1 year of editing experience preferred but not required. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The ability to edit with speed, efficiency and creatively while producing high quality content is required. You must be able to demonstrate good judgement and decision-making skills.
