FRANKLIN/OAK CREEK -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has completed a major WIS 241 (S.27th Street) project milestone in time for the holiday shopping season.The reconstruction project stretches from south of Drexel Avenue to north of College Avenue, in Milwaukee County.On Monday, November 16, crews successfully switched traffic to have northbound motorists driving on the newly constructed concrete pavement.

NASHOTAH -- Officials in Waukesha County say two people were killed in a crash on Highway 16 near Highway C in the Village of Nashotah in Waukesha County on Sunday evening, November 8th.This "large motor vehicle accident" happened around 7:15 p.m.Upon arrival, deputies discovered a total of four victims.A 24-year-old Pewaukee man was pronounced dead at the scene.A 68-year-old Watertown woman was pronounced dead at the scene.A 69-year-old Watertown man was taken to the hospital with "extensive injuries."A 37-year-old Oconomowoc woman was taken to the hospital with injuries.Deputies from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department responded along with members of the City of Delafield Police Department, Village of Chenequa Police Department, Village of Oconomowoc Lake Police Department, Town of Oconomowoc Police Department, Hartland Fire Department, Stone Bank Fire Department, and Lake Country Fire Department.This crash remains under investigation.
