John Mayer dedicates song to 'patient' Katy Perry
(CNN) -- John Mayer's "Born and Raised" tour got started over the weekend at Milwaukee's Summerfest -- with a tribute to Katy Perry.Although the on-again, off-again pair hinted in the spring that their coupling had come to an end, their recent PDA and matching Fourth of July outfits have suggested that they're at least on speaking terms. That much became crystal clear on Saturday, when Mayer paused toward the end of his opening show in Milwaukee to tell the audience just how great his "Katy" has been.According to Rolling Stone, Mayer dedicated the performance's final song, "A Face to Call Home," to "Katy, who's been my face to call home."Perry, 28, and Mayer, 35, have been linked since last summer, and were soon opening up about their relationship in the press.

Summerfest takes measures to control the crowds
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- After a mob of people crammed onto Summerfest grounds last Saturday, June 29th, crowd control became a major concern for this weekend."It was chaotic, ridiculous, you know coming out there was people everywhere, shoulder to shoulder, wall to wall people just trying to get out," said Ryan Hamil.Summerfest organizer John Boler says the overcrowding was a result of too many festival goers without tickets in hand."We actually do have some contingency plans where we can bring out some more booths, but I don't expect that to be the case," said Boler.Organizers suggest buying tickets online and printing them at home before you head toward the grounds."It actually saves a step for you and puts you right into the security area where you can go right in," said Boler.Summerfest runs through Sunday, July 7th.
