Milwaukee police identify victims in two homicides

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police identified on Monday, April 14th two victims of homicide that occurred in the city the last couple of days.The victim of the April 11 homicide that happened in the 4900 block of S. 14th Street is identified as 32-year-old Gilbert Hernandez.

18-year-old, 23-year-old injured in separate shooting incidents

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating two shooting incidents that occurred on Sunday, April 13th.Police say an 18-year-old man was shot and injured while inside his vehicle near 91st and Good Hope Road.It happened shortly before 3:00 p.m.The man was able to take himself to the hospital for treatment.Police say they do not believe this to be a random act.The second shooting incident occurred just after 6:00 p.m. on N. 44th Street.Police say a 23-year-old man was shot while on the street.Police say he was able to transport himself to the hospital for treatment.There are no suspects in custody in connection with either shooting incident.Police say the investigation is ongoing.
