MILWAUKEE -- We've all been there, that time of day when our energy levels tank. But before you reach for the caffeine, there are some natural options you can consider. Our registered dietitian, Lisa Grudzielanek, joins Real Milwaukee with some fatigue fighting foods.
1 medium green banana, peeled, frozen
6 large strawberries or 1/2 cup blueberries, frozen
2 heaping tablespoons natural almond butter (or nut/seed butter of your choice)
1 tablespoon MCT oil
1 teaspoon gelatinized Maca Powder
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
1 ½ - 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk (carton variety)
Put all the ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth and enjoy.
