Nicole Herzog

Nicole Herzog joined the FOX6 News team as an investigative reporter in September 2026.

Before making the move to Milwaukee, Nicole spent two years working as a Multimedia Journalist/Producer for WMTV in Madison. During her time at WMTV, Nicole covered dozens of stories, including historic flooding of the Wisconsin River and widespread protests after the officer-involved shooting of Corey Ruiz. Nicole also broke several investigations, earning a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for her investigative report uncovering legal violations by the Dane County Drainage Board.

Nicole graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a certificate in Digital Studies. She also holds a Master of Science from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in Video/Broadcast Journalism.

Though she's become fond of the Badger state, Nicole was born and raised a proud Chicagoan (yes, the city, not the suburbs!) and discovered a passion for journalism in high school. Since then, she's been committed to chasing stories, holding people in power accountable, and giving a voice to the voiceless through reporting.
