State Senate approves Gov. Walker's $504 million tax-cut plan

MADISON (WITI) -- The state Senate on Tuesday, March 4th approved Gov. Scott Walker's $504 million tax-cut plan.

The plan would shrink property taxes on a median-valued home by $131 on this December's bill.

It would also save the taxpayer $46 in income taxes.

The Assembly passed the measure in February -- but the bill has to go back to that chamber because the Budget Committee tweaked it.

The Senate also unanimously approved another Walker proposal on Tuesday -- to create $35 million in job-training grants.

That bill now goes to Gov. Walker for his signature.
