Rich DeMuro talks about tech behind the gift of hearing

There are nearly 360 million people around the world who are hard of hearing. But thanks to some special technology many of them are hearing for the first time.

Every year the Starkey Foundation fits 100,000 people from around the globe with hearing aids for free. I got to talk to  hearing aid pioneer, Bill Austin, about the mission behind his great endeavor.
If you are interested in getting free hearing aids from the Starkey Foundation, here is what you need to know:

“We do several hearing missions around the U.S. Each year, but we do the bulk of our domestic work through the Hear Now program. It’s an application-based program for low-income people living in the U.S. People looking for help can get more information by visiting our website or calling 800.328.8602 and asking for Hear Now or emailing hearnow@starkeyfoundation.org.
