Regulator prompts bomb scare in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN (WITI) -- Streets were shut down in Sheboygan just before 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8th after someone walked by what they thought was a bomb, and called police.

It happened near 8th and Michigan Ave.

Sheboygan police say they initiated standard safety protocols and called the Milwaukee Bomb Squad, which helped determine it wasn't a bomb.

As it turns out, it was a regulator that's normally buried underground.

Police say there was no danger to the public.
