Preps underway for big Salvation Army Christmas Family Feast

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Preps began on Monday, December 16th for the Salvation Army's Christmas Family Feast!

Salvation Army officials say they expect between 8,000 and 10,000 people to come and get a Christmas meal next week.

On Monday, some of the donated food and supplies for the meal started showing up.

The meal is free for everyone -- and Santa will be on hand, handing out gifts to children.

The Christmas Family Feast is held at the Wisconsin Center at 400 Wisconsin Avenue.

Volunteers are needed on December 20th - 25th for setup, cooking and kitchen prep.

On Christmas Day, volunteers are needed for greeter/hostess, food service and cleanup and entertainment.
