Police say two DPW sanitation workers robbed at gunpoint
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday morning, January 11th, involving two Milwaukee Department of Public Works sanitation workers.
Police say it happened shortly after 8:00 a.m. Saturday in an alley in the 3300 block of N. 37th Street.
Police say two sanitation workers were were approached by a suspect who demanded property from the workers.
The suspect, whom police say was armed with a handgun, received money and fled on foot.
The DPW workers reported the crime to police.
No one is in custody in connection with this incident -- and the investigation is ongoing.
